Johannesburg – Popular South African polygamist Musa Mseleku, known for his reality show Uthando Nes’thembu on Mzansi Magic, is urging his fans to exercise patience as he prepares to share a picture with his fifth wife, Samke Khwela. This announcement follows a wave of criticism from fans who have noticed Khwela's absence in recent photos featuring Mseleku with his other four wives.
Mseleku, who recently achieved his long-held ambition of marrying a fifth wife, explained that his life is a journey and appealed for understanding from his followers. The concerns arose after Mseleku posted a photograph with his four wives – Busisiwe "MaCele" Mseleku, Nokukhanya "MaYeni" Mseleku, Thobile "MaKhumalo" Mseleku, and Mbali "MaNgwabe" Mseleku – expressing gratitude for their care and support during his recent hospital stay.
The absence of Samke Khwela, who was introduced as his fifth wife in 2024, in the image sparked questions among fans, with many expressing concerns about her perceived value and standing in Mseleku's life.
Speaking to Daily Sun, Mseleku previously shared his hopes that his fifth wife would help carry on his legacy to the next generation, citing his age as a factor. "I didn't think there could be a suitable person since our lives are in the public domain. We applaud her for showing character and energy under these circumstances where many who are older than her have run away," he said.
Addressing the concerns surrounding Khwela's absence from recent photos, Mseleku assured fans that he plans to share a picture with her soon. "While we understand this is a journey, we'll be patient with the family, as we waited seven years to see her, so we can wait for the picture as well," he stated.
Mseleku's polygamous lifestyle continues to captivate audiences across Mzansi, with the ongoing drama and dynamics of his relationships being aired on Mzansi Magic every Wednesday and Thursday. The show offers a glimpse into the complexities and challenges of polygamous marriage, providing viewers with a unique perspective on family life in South Africa.
