On Friday, 2 August 2019, a Twitter follower of Bonang Matheba’s shared their views on what they believed should be Bonang Matheba’s stance on marriage and lobola.
The follower, by the name of Louie Mokagi, was replying to a post by a fan who asked Bonang Matheba for a ballpark amount for her lobola (bride price or token, typically paid in cattle or its cash equivalent).
Louie Mokagi wrote, “Bonang must not be interested much on lobola but must marry out of community of property with implementation of Accrual. What she has accumulated on her own before marriage must be held in a Trust with her mother, father, brother and kids as trustees. She’ll share what she accrues with hubby.”
Bonang Matheba wasted no time replying to Louie Mokagi, clarifying her stance on marriage and prenuptial agreements.
In less than an hour of replying, the House of BNG creator has already received over 1 000 likes on her reply and close to 200 comments. Many men who commented on the post suggested that men should probably adopt the same mentality,
Lobola is a rutual. A custom affirmin the appreciation to the brides fam. A public and traditional declaration to the marriage. My post was about ANC (Antenuptial Contract) which i said B must mayb consider as a Marrital Regime the day she gets hitched.

Prenups are not only about trust it's about financial protection. Even if you never divorce, if live happens and your partner makes poor financial or business decisions, keeping money separate means that at least one party will have money that cannot be taken by creditors
