Three people, including a nine-month-old baby, have been shot dead in Athlone, Cape Town.
The incident occurred around 10pm on Tuesday at a home in Sunbird Court. Police say three unknown gunmen entered the home and shot two women, aged 25 and 36, as well as the baby. All three were declared dead at the scene.
Two men who were also injured during the shooting were taken to hospital. The motive for the attack is not yet known. Detectives attached to the Serious and Violent Crimes Unit have been dispatched to investigate the murders.
