THE relationship between popular rapper AKA and his manager Prince Nyembe seems to have hit a sour note.
According to sources, things took a turn when AKA (real name Kiernan Forbes) and Prince had a scuffle over money two weeks ago.
Sources say the flamboyant Prince raised eyebrows when he bought himself a new luxury car and a new house.
According to sources, the Touch My Blood hitmaker had trusted his manager with the daily operations of the business, but got the shock of his life when two staffers complained about not getting paid.
Said the first source: “AKA was shocked as he’s not part of the daily operations and salary logistics. He then confronted Prince.”
According to the source, AKA did his own digging and checked the books.
The source went on: “Some of the books didn’t balance, which suggests there’s been fowl play.”
Another source said AKA called a management meeting and on the agenda was misuse of funds, and Prince was a no-show.
“He cited that he had other engagements,” said the second source.
According to the mole, the two eventually met and things ended badly.
“They both have big egos, you can imagine what happened,” said the source.
According to the source, the two exchanged blows in front of the staff.
Said the source: “AKA accused Prince of stealing his money and living a flashy lifestyle.”
A third source says Prince has since deleted his Instagram page.
When called for comment, Prince said: “I deleted my account as I was getting too many direct messages. I can’t comment any further.”
AKA refused to comment and hung up the phone.
