Six people have been killed and several others injured in a shooting incident on the R59 near Meyerton, south of Johannesburg.
Police have confirmed the arrest of two suspects in connection with the shooting.
Gauteng SAPS Deputy Commissioner Major-General Fred Kekana is heading to the scene. Further details are expected to be released soon.
This incident follows a similar mass shooting last month in Atteridgeville, west of Pretoria, where five men were killed while sitting outside a tuckshop. Police suspect that the Atteridgeville shooting may have been related to extortion linked to the operation of spaza shops and other businesses.
