South Africa’s media darling Bonang Matheba is in no rush to have children and is waiting for the right man to come along.
Speaking to GQ magazine, Queen B says she sees herself raising the next Elon Musk.
“You know the reason why I haven’t had kids is because I haven’t met a man who I think is worthy of being the father of my children, because I see my children as formidable human beings who are going to change the world.
“And you need a certain kind of man to support that level of thinking. I see myself raising an Elon Musk or a Trevor Noah,” she told the publication.
The 31-year-old is GQ’s cover star for its power issue. Bonang talks about her career, brand and business ventures in the September issue.
She also opened up about whether she hopes to get married and be one half of a power couple.
“Why can’t I be my own self-made billionaire?”
It’s not the first time the TV personality has talked about marriage and children.
During her nearly two-year-relationship with rapper AKA, Bonang was constantly asked about whether they would marry and settle down.
When one Twitter user questioned why she was not married with children in 2017, she replied: “We have different priorities.”
One of her followers tied to tell her that was not a reasonable excuse
“You can be married with kids and still have your priorities in check, like Beyoncé. Just say your time has not come qha,” one wrote.
Bonang silenced the man with one tweet.
“Dear Male, you’re trying to tell me what I want/need. Please stop,” she wrote.

Bonang Matheba’s love life has been a talking topic for as long as she has been in the entertainment industry. Queen B’s search for a king has looked promising at times, while at others it looked as if she might just have to continue building her empire on her own. Somne of Bonang Matheba's ex-boyfriends who all dismally failed to impregnate her include Slikour, Da Les, soccer star Siphiwe Tshabalala, Euphonik, Nigerian music superstar D’Banj and AKA, just to mention but a few!
