Johannesburg – Skolopad is known for her dramatic red carpet looks, and she did not disappoint at the 11th annual Feather Awards on Thursday.
The entertainer arrived at the event dressed in strategically placed white feathers along with a gold headpiece.
Speaking to Channel24, Skolopad said it was the name of the event that inspired the look.
"I missed out last year, so couldn't miss out again. I wanted to be flashy, and what better way to dress to theme, than wearing feathers to the Feather Awards."
She added that she "initially wanted to wear chicken feathers but opted for this look instead."
"I made the dress myself, sewing the feathers to pantyhose. I wanted to pay homage to Sho Madjozi with the headpiece. Like John Cena, you can't see me, but you know I'm here."
Getting the chance to mingle with other celebrities at the event was one of the highlights of her evening.
"I met Gigi Lamayne and Miss South Africa," she tells us, adding: "They only had good things to say to me."
Skolopad also shared footage of herself walking the Feathers red carpet in a second outfit, and this time she was carrying a bird which she says she got from the hotel she was staying in and kept it in a cage.
As for her feather dress, she says it was "more covered than other times," referring to previous red carpet looks which showed off a lot more skin.
In 2017, the entertainer got heads turning when she attended the Feathers in a dress made from boerewors complete with a charcoal bag as an accessory.
