GQOM queen Babes Wodumo has fantasies about being a kingpin. This comes as the star and her gang of accused have been playing mafia games!
These are the words of insiders, who claimed the musician and her co-accused, singer Tipcee and Babes’ sister Nondumiso, are playing dirty.
An informant claimed the trio tried to bribe the victim of their alleged assault, Nelisiwe Zondi.
Claimed the mole: “They offered her R30,000 to withdraw the case, but Nelisiwe refused to sell her soul for money. Remember, she was upset and in pain after they beat her up.”
Another source claimed Afrotainment manager, Senzo Shezi, also tried to bribe Nelisiwe by allegedly offering to take care of her medical bills – if she withdrew the case.
Insisted the informant: “Nelisiwe has all the recordings and SMSes of Senzo trying to bribe her.”
According to the third source, Nelisiwe wasn’t known to the accused before the alleged assault.
“She was asked by a friend to accompany her to meet the three and their friends in Umbilo, north of Durban. They all had booze, then Nelisiwe’s friend got drunk and wanted to leave,” said the source who claimed she was present at the scene when Nelisiwe was allegedly attacked.
“But Nelisiwe suggested that her friend be fetched instead of leaving on her own as she was too drunk. After the friend left, Babes, Tipcee and Nondumiso discussed Nelisiwe’s friend, saying she misbehaves when she’s drunk. But Nelisiwe didn’t like that, so she recorded the discussion using her phone because she wanted to send it to her friend to warn her that the three weren’t good for her.”
According to the informant, Nelisiwe was assaulted when Babes allegedly realised Tipcee, Nondumiso and her were being recorded.
Insisted the source: “They accused her of being a spy for Babes’ former lover Mampintsha, who’s on trial after a video of him assaulting Babes went viral on social media. Babes pulled Nelisiwe’s weave, then Nondumiso jumped on her while Tipcee kicked her. She screamed for help and someone called the cops. Police arrived and took her to the police station to open a case.”
The fourth source said: “Babes and her friends bragged that the case would be withdrawn because it’s weak and they’re famous.”
When contacted, Nelisiwe said: “I can’t deny what you’re saying but I don’t want to reveal anything to the media as the case is in court. I want justice for what happened to me. Right now, I’m traumatised.”
Yesterday, both Babes and Tipcee refused to comment and hung up the phone on the SunTeam.
Afrotainment manager, Senzo, said: “I’m not involved and don’t know anything.”
Nondumiso said: “I don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s all rumours.”
