Job Title: Presiding Officers for COIDA Services

Description:
The Compensation Fund is seeking qualified individuals to serve as Presiding Officers. These positions involve presiding at hearings of objections related to the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA).
Responsibilities:
- Preside at hearings of objections conducted in terms of sections 56 and 91 of the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, Act 130 of 1997) as amended, against the decision of the Compensation Commissioner.
Requirements:
- Bproc or LLB degree.
- Admitted as an attorney or advocate.
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience.
- In good standing with the Legal Practice Council of South Africa.
- Medico-legal experience is an added advantage.
Important Notes:
- This is not a permanent position.
- Successful candidates will be engaged based on the availability of cases (objections).
- Appointment will be for a period of 5 years.
