‘Jesus Saved My Life’: Woman Survives Cement Block Attack on N2 “Hell Run”

0

A woman who survived a terrifying attack along the notorious N2 “Hell Run” has shared her story in what she calls a miracle after a cement block was hurled through her windscreen, crushing her face.

Her emotional account went viral on TikTok this week, racking up 29 300 likes, more than 2 200 comments and over 2 028 shares by Thursday afternoon.

Horror on the N2

The incident happened on 13 April 2026 as she was driving with her mother and sister from Somerset West along the N2 — a stretch of road long associated with stone-throwing incidents.

The woman, identified as Mandy in her video, said the cement block smashed through the windscreen and struck her in the face.

“Jesus saved my life on the 13th of April 2026,” she said.

“I was driving on the N2 coming from Somerset West, and someone threw a cement block at our car and it went through our windscreen.

“But the Lord protected me and my mom and my sister.”

She lost consciousness behind the wheel as the vehicle travelled at around 120km/h.

‘You Need to Stop the Car’

Mandy said she remembers nothing after the impact.

“I was unconscious after it happened. I do not remember anything about the accident.”

Her mother and sister grabbed the steering wheel while praying loudly.

“My mom said she spoke to me and told me, ‘Mandy, you need to stop the car’.

“She didn’t look at me while she said that; she was focusing on the road.

“She and my sister were praying very loudly, and I stopped the car.”

Miraculously, the vehicle did not collide with any other cars despite travelling at high speed.

“We did not knock into any cars… it could have been much worse,” she said.

By the time the car came to a halt, they were far from the attackers. Her sister phoned their father, who arrived at the scene with Mandy’s brother. Police and paramedics also responded, and she was transported to hospital.

Three Days in Hospital

Mandy spent three days in hospital recovering. A large gash remains visible on the right side of her face, a reminder of the violent attack.

“My face was swollen, but thank the Lord, the swelling went down,” she said.

She has since urged motorists to avoid travelling along the N2 at night.

“Please stay away from the N2, especially at night.”

Ongoing Concerns

The N2 between Cape Town and Somerset West has long been dubbed the “Hell Run” due to repeated reports of stone-throwing incidents targeting motorists.

Mandy says she believes divine intervention saved not only her life, but those of her mother and sister.

While she continues to heal physically and emotionally, she hopes her story will serve as both a warning and a testimony of survival.
