Second Suspect Arrested in DJ Warras Murder Case

A second person, believed to be the shooter, has been arrested in connection with the murder of Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras.

According to police, the suspect, who has been on the run since Stock’s murder on December 16th, was arrested last night in Primrose, on Gauteng’s East Rand.

He is the second person to be arrested in the high-profile murder, following the arrest of Soweto taxi boss Victor Majola. Majola was arrested six days after Stock was killed and is accused of orchestrating the murder.

"The Gauteng Serious and Violent Crimes Investigation’s Provincial Investigation Unit has, during a Crime Intelligence led take down operation, arrested another suspect in connection with the murder of DJ Warras. The 25-year-old suspect, a Mozambican national, was arrested in Marathon informal settlement in Primrose around 20:00 on 30 January 2026," Brigadier Brenda Muridili, spokesperson for Gauteng Police, confirmed.

The suspect is expected to appear before court on Monday, February 2nd, 2026, facing charges of murder and contravention of the Immigration Act.
