Tragic Assassination of Whistle-Blower Marius van der Merwe Shakes Public Safety Concerns
Marius van der Merwe, a critical witness at the Madlanga Commission, was gunned down outside his Brakpan home on Friday evening, heightening concerns over the safety of whistle-blowers in South Africa.
