THABAZIMBI – A 43-year-old father is due to appear in the Thabazimbi Magistrate’s Court this morning, charged with firearm negligence following the tragic death of a farmworker on a Limpopo farm. The incident occurred on Saturday morning and allegedly involved the man's 11-year-old son.
The young boy reportedly discharged a firearm while attempting to shoot guinea fowl on the farm. A stray bullet struck a worker, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.
