Mpho Maboi-Letsholonyane shared a heartbreaking post about the baby she lost 10 years ago.

The TV and radio personality took to Instagram this week to reveal how she handled the miscarriage.

“10 years ago I started wearing this ring on my right hand to commemorate the loss of my unborn child… I wore it as a constant reminder of the 1st time I ever felt absolute unconditional love for another soul. A reminder never to forget,” she wrote.

But the Metro FM Fresh Breakfast co-host says she is finally ready to let go of what the ring represented.
“Today, I retire this ring. I am finally setting myself free from the pain and guilt of not being able to carry you to term… Of not being able to give you life… even though I will still remember to never forget…” she added.

Mpho’s followers flooded her comment section with messages of support.

“…soldier on mommy, we know that we could only do our best. It gets easier,” one fan wrote.
Another added: “Wish I'd give you a warm tight hug.”

Mpho and football star Reneilwe Yeye Letsholonyane – a midfielder for SuperSport United F.C. and the South African national team, have a six-year-old son named Thato together. She is also step-mom to Keneilwe, Reneilwe’s daughter from a previous relationship.

Mpho paid tribute to her “miracle” son Thato on his birthday earlier this year.

“All my fears about motherhood disappeared the moment I laid my eyes on your beautiful 10 fingers and toes. To me, you were perfect. My little miracle. The child I was biologically never meant to have. But Because God, six years later, I celebrate you choosing me to be your mother,” she wrote on Instagram.
