KWAITO singer Mshoza has been having a very rough time recently.
But she has found a Good Samaritan in the form of her stylist Zanele “Zah” Makhanya.
After Mshoza and her husband Thuthukani Mvula had a violent split last month, he burned all her clothes.
Zah decided to help replace some of the items.
Zah told Daily Sun she was helping Mshoza, whose real name is Nomasonto Maswanganyi, as she had been a very supportive client and they had become friends.
“She has been supporting me for 15 years. When I saw on Facebook that all her clothes were burned, I put myself in her shoes. She is going through a tough time and she has been in hiding, which means she doesn’t have time to shop,” said Zah.
The stylist from Durban said she wasn’t helping Mshoza because she thought she was short of money but because it was difficult to rebuild a wardrobe from scratch.
“I’m glad she accepted the designer bag I gave her last week and the clothes she received three days ago.”
When called for comment, Mshoza said she didn’t even have the words to say how much she appreciated Zah’s actions.
“I feel as if I have a true friend who came through during this hard time. She’s one of the people who understands my situation. I’m grateful. I was supporting her business as a woman and I didn’t know it would come to this one day,” she said.
