It is said people part to meet again, and that the joy of meeting is stronger than the sorrows of partying ways, this would be the case between Isidingo actors and their fans.
Isidingo actors recently said their final farewells to the viewers, this happened on their last day of shooting.

The actors shared emotional social media tributes after filming their final scenes for the soapie this week.

“The end is never easy to deal with, even if you can see it coming for a long time. We reached the end of the road with Isidingo this week when many of our favourite cast members from the SABC 3 soapie reported in to work for the last time,” this was the common saying and spirit among the actors.
Isidingo shouldn’t despair at least for now, as they can still watch the favourite show on television for another two months. The show is expected to fade out of the screens in March 2020, however, as many of their scenes are filmed in advance, this week marked the last day on set for many of Mzansi’s biggest stars.

In 2019, SABC made public its decision to cancel Isidingo. Reports suggested that the decision attributed to the show’s poor ratings (a common problem for SABC 3’s content at this moment in time).

The news came as a surprise for most of its members who revealed that they weren’t even informed of the decision to cancel the show; instead, it was alleged they were each left to learn of the latest developments via social media.

Despite this, the talented actors have shown great professionalism by showing up to work until their final day.

Viewers are expected to have tissue paper at hand as they read the following emotional messages in each of the actors’ dedications. Take a look:

Actress Schelaine Bennet said on Instagram, “Proof that God’s timing is PERFECT!

I auditioned for many different roles on Isidingo over the years & never won… Then THIS!!! What a Time to be Alive! What a Blessing! What a Team! What a Special part of South African tv History… Our Final scene together. To every single soul that makes this show come to Life- I salute You”
Meanwhile, Dumisani Mbebe wrote on Twitter “Today, I’m stepping in the studios of Isidingo for one last time. The end to the second most long-standing local soap operas has come. Whatever the broadcaster’s reasons to pull the plug! Life goes on. Job hunting begins again.”
Meanwhile a number of the show’s cast members shared pictures of themselves getting into character for the last time on this show.

As for Motlatsi Mafatshe it was a battle well fought, as it happened when Motlatsi marks a decade on Isidingo:
