Rosebank, Johannesburg – The funeral service for Warrick Stock, known to many as DJ Warras, is being held today in Rosebank, north of Johannesburg. This comes after Stock was fatally shot on December 16th in Johannesburg CBD.
Stock was killed near the Carlton Centre as he exited Zambesi House, where he was managing security. CCTV footage revealed suspicious activity by three individuals prior to the shooting.
A memorial service was held last Friday, where friends and colleagues remembered Stock.
In a significant development, Gauteng police arrested two persons of interest on Monday, December 22nd, in connection with the murder. Both individuals have now been charged with Stock's murder.
"The two persons of interest who were brought in for questioning during the early hours of 22 December 2025 have been detained and will be charged with the murder of DJ Warras,” police confirmed in a statement.
The community now mourns the loss of the media personality while the legal process begins for those accused of his murder.
