We write this letter on behalf of the Molokoane family to formally notify and confirm to the public of a significant and urgent matter concerning Solly Moholo," the family's statement read.

"On 22 August 2024, Mr Molokoane commenced a promotional tour in Botswana for his forthcoming album, which is presently scheduled for release on 14 September 2024. Unfortunately, during this tour, Solly Moholo suffered a stroke and multiple organ failure, necessitating immediate and extensive medical intervention, including brain surgery," the statement continued.

"The medical costs associated with his treatment have accumulated to an approximate amount of R700 000. Given the substantial nature of these expenses, the Molokoane family is urgently seeking financial support from the public at large as well as his associates and/or supporters to assist in covering his medical costs," the statement concluded.

The family expressed their gratitude for any financial support received, emphasizing that it would significantly aid them in managing the financial burden associated with Moholo's treatment and ensuring his speedy recovery.
