Johannesburg – Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock, the well-known TV presenter of Ngicel’iVisa and owner of Imperium Security, tragically died on 16 December 2025. He was fatally shot while on duty for his security company, overseeing a previously hijacked building, Zambesi House, in downtown Johannesburg, near the Carlton Centre.

Police have confirmed the arrest of two individuals in connection with the murder. Victor Majola, 44, and an unnamed woman were apprehended at a hostel in Soweto on Monday, 23 December 2025. Majola appeared at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court, and his bail application has been postponed to 6 January 2026 for a formal hearing. Details regarding the woman remain undisclosed at this time.

DJ Warras's funeral service took place on 19 December at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rosebank, Johannesburg, followed by his cremation ceremony on Wednesday.

Those close to DJ Warras remember him as a dedicated father whose life revolved around securing the future of his three sons. His untimely death has left a void, particularly as he will not be able to witness his children's journey into university.

In the wake of this tragedy, a group of DJ Warras’s friends, including Siv Ngesi, Gareth Cliff, Jonathan Boyton Lee, Rob Harsov, and Mmusi Maimane, have united to establish a Trust aimed at raising funds for his children’s future. The fundraising initiative, titled ‘Hold The Line For DJ Warras’, has set a target of R1 million and has already garnered over R130,000, with donations continuing to pour in.

The BackABuddy account description reads: “Our friend and fellow warrior has left three sons, 16, 14, and 11 years old. Warrick was always there for people, and we end up saying Hold The Line For a Fallen brother and ensure his legacy continues.”

According to his friends, this initiative is about community support: “This is about people helping people, creators supporting creators, the community showing up for the community, and ensuring that the people behind the platform are not left alone.”

Rob Harsov further elaborated on the significance of the campaign's name: "Hold the Line – is a promise: that we stand firm when things get hard, that we protect what matters, and that we do not abandon our own. Warras showed up, he carried weight, and he kept going. He held the line for truth, for people, and for the work, even when it was heavy."

The campaign has been launched with the full support and consent of the Stock family as the official fundraiser. Hanekom Attorneys have volunteered their services to establish a trust to manage the funds.

Friends and business partners have also suggested that DJ Warras "ruffled the feathers of the underworld" through his work.

Those closest to him released a statement saying, “Warras created an impact. He touched hearts, sparked conversations, and permitted people to think deeper. He spread truth with courage and conviction, never afraid to ask the hard questions, but always anchored in care. He had that rare balance: bold and compassionate. And to those who knew him personally, he was steady, loyal, and a truly good friend. Now it is our turn to hold the line for the people who mattered most to him: his children and family, who have lost a father, a son, a brother, and a loved one.”
