Just two months after a video of Mampintsha hitting his girlfriend, Babes Wodumo went viral, claims that they’ve kissed and made up continue to dominate headlines
The video sparked widespread outrage and led to Babes opening a charge of assault against Mampintsha.
The former Big Nuz musician also laid a counter charge of assault against Babes.
While both assault cases are still before the courts, speculation that Babes and Mampintsha have reunited first surfaced last week. This, after they recorded and released a new song together.
This week City Press is reporting that Mampintsha’s manager Lindo Buthelezi confirmed that the couple are back together.
“The couple are not just back together, but Mampintsha has also dropped assault charges against Babes,” he told the paper.
The reports come just days before Mampintsha makes his second court appearance at the Pinetown Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
However, the KZN NPA spokesperson told the paper that both cases were still on the court roll.
Meanwhile, Sunday Sun is reporting that a police source revealed that Babes has also apparently withdrawn charges against Mampintsha
“Look everyone was amazed when Babes wrote the withdrawal statement,” the source apparently told the tabloid.
While both Babes and Mampintsha have not yet commented on any of the claims, the Wololo hitmaker’s dad, Welcome Simelane has denied that they’re back together.
“There are many people talking about things they don’t know. All I know is that my daughter is not back with Mandla,” he told City Press.
