Kaizer Chiefs may be holding off on some of their transfer business until they’ve hired a new head coach, but one thing for sure is that they want to secure a deal for Mosa Lebusa.
The Siya crew reported recently that Chiefs, along with Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, are keen to try and bring the Ajax Cape Town captain on board ahead of the 2018/19 campaign, and at this stage, there have been no indications as to who is currently leading the race.
While the Urban Warriors will be reluctant to let Lebusa leave the club, should they face relegation into the National First Division then they may be left with no choice but to try and cash in on the in-demand left back.
Chiefs fans are expecting a big transfer window from their side after a third straight season without silverware, and snapping Lebusa from the grasp of their title rivals could go a long way towards appeasing them.
The crew will keep tabs on Lebusa’s situation in the coming weeks, although there could be some movement on the issue later this week once the latest leg of Ajax’s relegation battle has been heard at the High Court on the 14th and 15th of June.
