A warrant of arrest has been issued for Baroka FC boss Khurishi Mphahlele
This after estranged wife's lawyer's approached the Limpopo police to arrest the soccer boss for failing to comply with a high court order to pay maintenance.
According to a court order issued by the Joburg High Courts, the soccer boss was supposed to pay almost half a million rand in arrears for the maintenance of the four children he has with the woman.
The club boss's lawyer Victor Mabe of Victor Mabe Inc received a letter from Mathebula requesting the arrest of Mphahlele.
In the letter, Mathebula demanded that Mphahlele settle the arrears within 48hours or face the full wrath of the law.
celebgossip.co.za has learnt that Mphahlele's application for leave to appeal, heard by Judge Marcus Senyatsi was dismissed with costs on Monday.
However Mphahlele refused to pay the R454 262.48 and said he was heading to the supreme court of Appeal in Bloemfontein to appeal the decision to dismiss the application for leave to appeal.
Mphahlele had filed papers opposing spousal maintenance and the papgeld court orders of the kids. He wanted the marriage to the woman to be declared invalid because when he married her, he was still married to his first wife.
He also said the three kids the woman wanted him to support were not his. When he met her she already had two kids from her previous relations. He said she fell pregnant when they were dating and told him that he was the father.
He said he discovered the child was not his when the woman filed for maintenance suit against him when they separated. He said he was willing to support only one of the four children the woman had because it was his biological kids
