Drama as man claims to be Nelson Mandela's secret child: Madiba impregnated my mother!

THE Mandelas’ festive season mood was nearly ruined by an intruder. Home to one of the most prominent families in Mzansi, the late Nelson Mandela’s house was invaded by an intruder who almost stole from them.

Lufuno Cleopus Mphephu allegedly went to the Mandela home in Houghton, Jozi. According to police sources, when he arrived on the premises, he called a locksmith, claiming he’d lost his house keys at a local pub.

When the locksmith arrived, he found the would-be intruder waiting outside the Mandela house. Lufuno then allegedly told the locksmith he was a Mandela and would like to gain access to his home.

Said an informant: “Little did the locksmith know that he was being fed a bunch of lies.”

The informant claimed the locksmith then began doing what he does best: unlocking doors.

Insisted the informant: “When they got inside, there were people. Lufuno had no clue that Madiba’s great-grandchildren were home at the time.”

According to the mole, as soon as they walked in, Mbuso Mandela confronted them.

“The locksmith told the Mandelas he was just doing his job, nothing more,” the source claimed.

Then, police were called in and a case of trespassing was opened, the source insisted.

“Lufuno was nabbed. When confronted, he told the family he’s also a Mandela,” the source said. “He claimed that Madiba had left him in Venda with a local chief to avoid a media scandal. The family dismissed his claim and said he was taking chances, and wanted to break into their house.”

Said another insider: “After he spent two nights in jail, Lufuno walked back to Madiba’s house from the Norwood Police Station. He was spotted outside the gate and police were called again. He then ran away when he saw the police car.”

The source said Lufuno was trying to rob the Mandelas. Lefuno could not be reached for comment. Police confirmed that a case of trespassing has been opened by Andile Mandela and the suspect was released on a warning. They said the case was postponed to next month.

Both Andile and Mbuso were not available for comment.
