“Enough is Enough.”
These are the words of Mzansi people who are calling for the closure of all prophetic churches belonging to foreign pastors in the country. This implies that if the angry believers’ protest is honoured, prophet Shepherd Bushiri from Malawi, founder of Enlightened Christian Gathering Church (ECG) and pastor Alph Lukau of from Congo, founder of Alleluia Ministries International ( AMI) among other high profile prophetic churches founded by foreigners, will have to kiss good bye to this ‘greener pasture’ nation.
The online protestors have started an online petition on a website known as Petitions24.com which is promoted by its users.
They say it’s in Support of Cheryl Zondi and many more victims of the foreign Prophetic Churches based in South Africa.
“As the citizens of South Africa, we therefore stand together in one voice requesting our government to please close down all these foreign prophetic churches based in South Africa with immediate effect to avoid more victimisation of our citizens whether sexually, financially, emotionally or otherwise in the name of miracles.
“We request that our government regulate our churches, monitor and evaluate their activities.
“We believe that they can perform miracles well in their countries and groom their girls as well contribute positively to the growth of their economies.”
The petition was launched on 17 October and had already gathered over 200 signatures by 11:00 on 18 October.
