South Africa has confirmed yet another case of Coronavirus (Covid-19) this time from an employee of the BMW South Africa Group company.
The patient is said to have contracted the virus after traveling overseas.
The BMW Group advised that he is now receiving treatment and has gone in quarantine.

Confirmed case of coronavirus (Covid-19), BMW Group South Africa.
We can confirm that a BMW Group South Africa colleague has been diagnosed with the Coronavirus (Gmnd.19, after travelling overseas.
Our colleagues’ health and safety is the company’s paramount concern, and the employee has been undergoing medical treatment since Monday, 9 March.
The colleague has not been in any of our offices since returning to South Africa. In view of developments, BMW South Africa is immediately initiating further measures to protect its employees.
Any possible affected areas will be closed off and disinfected as a precautionary measure.
BMW Group South Africa has identified those who possibly were in direct or indirect contact with the affected colleague and they have been requested to either undergo the 14-day self-quarantine or monitoring, as recommended.
Our operations are currently continuing without restrictions. We are in close contact with the relevant authorities, and will update you regularly regarding developments.
In terms of this communication, we have followed protocol as prescribed by the South African Government.
As per the Department of Health, we call for calm and co-operation during this period.
We also request that the privacy of the patients and their family members be respected.
