South African Prostitutes beg President Ramaphosa and his counterparts (WATCH VIDEO)

Sex workers are hoping President Cyril Ramaphosa and other politicians will address their rights; many parties have been largely quiet on the issue.

Health workers union, National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union says the health department must get involved.

Many activists have long called for the decriminalisation of sex work but while political parties chant election slogans, the workers are feeling left out.

Sex workers are demanding legislation to regulate the industry.

The ANC has called for decriminalisation but has given no detail about how it will work.

The EFF has also called for sex work to be legalised while the DA has been silent on the issue.
