Love it or hate it, there’s no avoiding one of the most romantic days of the year – Valentine’s Day.
Couples can’t resist spoiling their significant others with chocolate treats and romantic dinners on the day.
Celebrities are no different. They go all out to show their partners how special they are.
From romantic picnics to new cars, February 14 means forking out big bucks for Mzansi’s stars.
Here’s how some of them have celebrated Valentine’s Day in the past.
A gourmet picnic
If you’re on a tight budget this Valentine’s Day then a romantic picnic is all you need to spoil the love of your life.
That’s exactly what radio host Masechaba Ndlovu and her then husband Vusi did in 2017. Vusi took things up a notch the following year by getting all Masechaba’s magazine covers framed. Add champagne, flowers and a beautiful wrapped gift to the mix and you have an awesome Valentine’s Day.
Sadly, the couple called it quits in 2018!

A romantic walk in a foreign country
J’Something and his wife Coco spent Valentine’s Day in Portugal.
“Happy Valentine’s Day everyone. I aim to love her better, to try and understand her better, and it’s been such a journey for us!” he wrote on Instagram.
Breakfast in bed
Phindile Gwala was treated to breakfast in bed and expensive gifts on Valentine’s Day in 2017.
The actress is married to Congolese model, Armando Ngandu. They tied the knot last year.
We wonder what her hunky hubby has in store for her this Valentine’s Day.
New wheels
Enhle Mbali received an early Valentine’s Day present from her husband DJ Black Coffee last year.
He bought her a brand spanking new Porsche. His son helped him to pull off the epic surprise a few days before February 14.

Spoil yourself
Just because you don’t have a partner, does not mean that you cannot treat yourself. “… bought myself a Valentine’s Day gift. Single girl problems,” she captioned a picture of herself posing on her new CLA 45 AMG Mercedes Benz in 2015.

A family affair
LeAnne Dlamini’s husband Sipho not only spoils her rotten on Valentine’s Day but he also buys gifts and flowers for their daughters, Zani-Lee and Zaya-Rose, as well.
“My husband has been buying the girls and I flowers for Valentine’s Day every year since they were born,” the singer revealed on Instagram.
Sipho also does daddy-daughter Valentine’s Day dates.
