In an unexpected announcement, Idols SA revealed that Randall Abrahams wont be amongst the judges of the show’s 18th season. Randall left Idols SA as the showrunners decided to bring a fresh approach to the judging panel to retain audiences. The news of his departure left Idols SA viewers heartbroken as they had grown fond of his nasty judging skills. In the wake of his exit from Idols SA, many would have wondered where Randall Abrahams disappeared to.

The celebrated judge is winning big in his career; it looks like his exit from Idols opened new doors for him. In May 2022, he was appointed as the CEO of Primedia Broadcasting. He took over the reins from Geraint Crwys-Williams, who resigned from the company after 18 years. Abrahams has a wealth of media and broadcasting experience, which qualified him to be the new CEO of Premedia Broadcasting.

Besides being the new CEO of Primedia Broadcasting, Randall has been focusing more on growing his business empire. Randall owns one of the most famous PR consulting companies in South Africa. He is the founder of Total Exposure PR Firm, which has several big companies under its watch. Rumours are he is one of the wealthiest media personalities as he makes millions from his business investments.

Idols SA viewers want iconic judge Randall Abrahams back

Idols SA’s 18th season has been surrounded by drama. After airing its first episodes, Randall Abrahams was trending on Twitter as Mzansi were not impressed with the show’s new judges; they wanted their nasty judge back. Idols SA viewers accused the new judges, Thembi Seete and JR, of being too soft and giving away golden tickets to contestants without giving it a deep thought.

However, after the complaints from Mzansi, Seete and Jr managed to pull up their socks, and we can safely say they fit the big shoes Randall left. Although Mzansi is no longer complaining, Idols SA is not the same without Randall Abrahams.
