With most of SA industries opening up as South Africa moves to level 3 of easing lockdown restrictions, the much-awaited reality TV search production IdolsSA has hinted its season 16 come back amid the pandemic.
Announcing the comeback on its twitter handle, the reality show said the Idols SA Season 16 was set for Sunday, August 2nd at 17:30 on DStv channel 161, Mzanzi Magic.

Unfortunately though, Idols SA season 16 virtual and physical auditions were already conducted way before the pandemic lockdown started in South Africa and they aren’t open for the public anymore – due to the pandemic.
Idols SA Season 16 is currently at the production phase, the director of Local Entertainment Channels Nomsa Philiso earlier hinted.
Last week, the production judges Unathi Nkayi and Somizi took to Instagram teasing fans on the comeback.
“Let the work begin,” Somizi Mhlongo-Motaung said while asking young and upcoming fashion designers to submit their design ideas for the upcoming live Idols events.

LOCKDOWN – Because of the lockdown the @idolssa styling team and I have had to think outside the box because we CANNOT commission too much NOW. Our fashion houses have been hit hard. My mission for them had always been to be a gracious canvas. With tha in mind @pieter.serton my stylist and I have reinvented some looks by going into my wardrobe archives for THIS season. These two dresses I bought from @palesamokubung at the same time🤦🏾♀️😂She DIDNT understand me BUT I have this thing that if I like something and I can see that I can reinvent it I commission it in different colours. So many of you LOVE this dress❤️🙏🏾 Thought I would Share the history behind it
