Actors take turns to quit Isibaya: Menzi Ngubane bids farewell days after Nomzamo Mbatha resigned

Menzi Ngubane is set to leave Mzansi's much loved soapie, Isibaya.

A few years ago, the viewers were introduced to a new family – the Ngwenyas. This family had all the makings of controversy and were on a mission to shake things up at eBubhesini, especially the Zungu family.

Menzi Ngubane portrayed the character of Judas Ngwenya. ilanga Langesonto reported that the powers that be, had hit a wall regarding Juda's character development and story-line.

Which resulted in the termination of his acting services. The remaining members of the Ngwenya family will still be seen on the show.

Judas will be murdered by his long standing enemy, Mpiyakhe Zungu. Currently, Judas is moving in incognito and can be seen disguising himself with a huge unsuspecting beard. While Mpiyakhe has pretended to play dead – a ploy to trick Judas into believing that he's dead. Thereafter Mpiyake will come out gunning blazing and kill his unsuspecting enemy, Judas.

Menzi is not the only celebrated actor to part ways with Isibaya. TV darling Nomzamo Mbatha has also bade farewell to popular the Mzansi Magic telenovela.

The star played the lead role as Thandeka Zungu for almost seven years in Isibaya, which airs weekdays at 8.30pm.

Nomzamo Mbatha’s exit will surely leave the viewers disenchanted after Isibaya’s producers and writers decided to kill off her character.

She was officially released from the show in December and the funeral of her character Thandeka will be aired on March 9.

The details of how Thandeka is going to die are still sketchy, but two sources close to Bomb Productions told City Press on Friday that Thandeka and her husband Sbu – played by Sdumo Mtshali – will be attacked by armed criminals.

“Sbu is going to survive [the shooting], but sadly Thandeka is going to die,” said a source.
