Hilarious! Trevor Noah reacts to news of Duchess Meghan & Prince Harry’s plan to move to Africa

Recent reports reveal that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan could be moving to Africa for six months after the birth of their baby. Obviously, comedian Trevor Noah has something to say about this…

Harry and Meghan, who will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary next month, are also anticipating the arrival of their first child any day now. Bearing this in mind, the royal couple are considering their next move after baby arrives and, according to reports, moving to Africa (no mention of where in Africa) for a few months is a realistic possibility for them.

UK media reports suggest that they are looking to take a sabbatical in southern Africa with one source telling The Sun, “The idea is they will spend between three and four months every year based in an African country where they would work and then use it as a base for travel. South Africa and Botswana are two countries on the shortlist that are considered the most likely.”

Trevor Noah has his pulse on all global affairs and there was no way he was going to miss responding to this one

The host of The Daily Show spent some time analysing the couple’s possible move on the latest episode of his late night talk show and the first thing that struck him was the idea that a royal couple would need to take a sabbatical.

They’re taking a sabbatical? From what?!” He asked in bemused fashion. “Helping their grandma pick out hats? How are you going to take a break from being royalty? It’s like the weirdest thing!”

In the end, Trevor understands why Meghan and Harry might not be so crazy in wanting to move to another continent to escape the cameras.
The proposed move to Africa hasn’t exactly been welcomed with open arms by many neutrals

CNN claims that the move would see the British monarchy making a mockery of their former colonies (many of whose citizens have to jump through hoops to visit the UK, yet the royals can visit Africa at will).

If they did decide to move to Mzansi for a few months, would you welcome the Duke and Duchess with open arms?
