DJ Arch Junior is well on his way towards becoming the biggest (and at the same time the youngest) DJ in the world, but he hasn't downplayed the importance of education while he does so.
This week, we were proud to see the youngster excelling in school as he was awarded two certificates.
The talented deck-spinner took to social media to declare:
"Winning behind the decks and academically 🏆🙌🏼, new edition to my certificate collection 📜. Big thanks to mommy and
@futurenationza for making sure that I’m also set educationally"
And one cannot downplay the importance of being able to educate himself while he's been growing his extremely impressive skillset. Many child stars find themselves thrust into the limelight at a young age only to have nothing to fall back on when it's time to seek pastures anew. However, DJ Arch Junior's parents are determined to see him succeed on all fronts.
While DJ Arch Junior's skills are extremely impressive, much of his success can rightfully be attributed to his parents, who have managed him expertly. From securing him endorsement deals, to securing entry in overseas competitions including America's Got Talent and its Chinese spin-off. But above all, they deserve credit for ensuring that he is still growing his mind as he grows his fanbase.
The six-year-old, who is widely hailed as South Africa’s youngest DJ, first caught our attention on social media in 2014 before he went on to win South Africa’s Got Talent a year later. His journey to the finals was incredible and with that victory DJ AJ became the youngest ever winner of SAGT.
Arch then entered SA's Got Talent and the young man walked away with the R500 000 prize money and products from Avon and Celltone worth R35 000.
Like always, the world will always question ones achievements and social media was quick to claim that Arch had cheated on the final episode of the show by saying that his audio cables were not connected to the mixing deck. In addition to that some people made accusations that he was playing a pre-recorded mix on the show.
Destiny magazine shared that e.TV publicist Michael Pocock rubbished all the claims and assured audiences that Arch's talent is legitimate.
"The photo that has been making the rounds on social media does not show the full technical setup of DJ Arch's performance, which took place at Soweto Theatre on the 8th of November 2015 in the finale of SA's Got Talent," he said also adding that the audio cables were connected via the laptop and not the controller.
"There were two laptops on the stage, which DJ Arch Jnr was consistently watching. The one laptop has the DJ software on it, which plays the songs, and the other laptop has a countdown system which cues DJ Arch Jnr. The controller in front of him has a black USB cable connected to the laptop, which is feeding into it," he said.
