NEW information has emerged with regards to the biggest and most anticipated wedding this country will ever witness. It looks like the mother of all celebrity weddings is going to happen this year after new information was leaked to the media.
Ever since media personality Somizi ‘Somgaga’ Mhlongo (46) popped the big question to his bae, Mohale Motaung (23), eight months ago, the entire country has been waiting for the wedding date to be set. According to reports, the wedding will be held at four different venues and the main ceremony will be at the Mandela Bridge in Joburg during the Easter weekend in April.
If the Idols judge’s personality and lifestyle is anything to go by, then the wedding is going to be something like a movie scene far from the Our Perfect Wedding shockers. Apparently if the larger than life TV personality gets his way, his fans could get to watch the ceremony on TV. He is reportedly in talks to sell the broadcast rights for his wedding to MultiChoice.
EVERYTHING TAKES TIMING
Planning for a wedding is no walk in the park, customs have to be followed and looking at the drama behind the engagement, there are certain things that needed to be done first before the ‘I dos’, like meeting the in-laws.
The two lovebirds’ relationship has been a topic of some negativity, mostly because of the 23-year age gap between the two and the fact that Mohale was relatively unknown didn’t ease things either.
There were also rumours that Mohale’s family didn’t approve of his relationship with the Metro FM co-host. But late last year, Somizi finally met Mohale’s parents.
The pair took to their social media accounts to share pictures of their day at the Motaung household. “My in laws, it was worth it to get here. Thanks to the Motaung family for such a warm welcome and love. Now let the wedding planning begin,” Somizi captioned the pictures on Instagram.
Mohale also shared his delight about the whole ordeal. “This has got to be the happiest day of my life. Bae finally got to meet the folks and the family. I’m beyond happy!”
THE HARD TIMES
It wasn’t all glitz and glamour for the couple during the past eight months, especially because of the rumours surroundings the couple’s relationship. Somizi has been in the entertainment industry for decades so he has learnt to deal with public scrutiny but it was all relatively new to Mohale, who quickly learnt to grow a thick skin.
Mohale was accused of being a gold digger after the announcement of their engagement in which he had to deal with professionally. Fans also accused him of using Somizi for personal gain and thought their love was not real and won’t last. But a few months after the attacks, the couple’s love looks stronger than ever.
Efforts to get a hold of Somizi and Mohale were not successful as our calls and text messages were not answered.
