IT seems Generations: The Legacy actress Zoe Mthiyane didn’t have a jolly festive season.
The star, who plays Zitha in the popular SABC1 soapie, was allegedly admitted to the Sandton Clinic, north of Jozi, last month. According to a well-placed source, Zoe was rushed to hospital after she suffered serious complications.
Sources say it was apparently depression due to work and stress related to her love life and not finding a balance.
One source told Sunday Sun: “Remember, being a single mum of two and juggling jobs can take its toll on you.”
According to sources, Zoe spent three days in hospital under observation. Sources said shooting for long hours had not been easy for the actress, as she’s also trying to be a good mum.
“But she’s fine now and taking it easy. She’s back in her element,” said the source.
Another informant said her boyfriend and fellow Generations: The Legacy actor, Rapulana Seiphemo, was by her side the whole time.
“Shame, he was there for her, making sure the kids were fine while he treated her like a princess,” said the second source.
According to the source, this was not the first time Zoe had such an ordeal.
“Mostly, she panics when she’s overwhelmed by work, simply because she’s a perfectionist and puts so much passion toward her craft,” said the source.
When called for comment, Zoe hung up the phone. Rapulana was not available for comment.
