Anele Mdoda says she tries to avoid choosing sides in celebrity beefs
The media personality took to her Instagram Stories recently to explain that celebrities are real people just like you and me, who sometimes feel insecure.
But don’t expect her to pick Cassper Noyovest over AKA, or Pearl Thusi over Bonang Matheba.
Anele says she is not quick to pick a side when celebrities beef.
“Celebrities are normal people with real insecurities and issues, like less known people. I give it time and try not to pick sides until there is no other choice,” ThisaLIVE quoted her as saying.
The former Real Talk host is no stranger to ‘beef’ rumours herself.
It was reported earlier this year that she did not want to interview Bonang.
The Sunday Sun claimed that Anele told her talk show producers that she did not want Queen B as a guest on the show. But Anele was quick to rubbish the claims
“I’d be stupid to refuse Bonang to come to the show. She’s a superstar and it’d be great to have her for ratings. We have emails to prove that we wanted her twice and she couldn’t make it,” she told the paper.
Anele allegedly stopped talking to Bonang several years ago, after Queen B had a falling out with one of her friends.
But business is business and Anele clearly does not let personal issues affect her work.
Unless you involve her family.
Anele wasted no time putting Atandwa Kani on blast during his break-up with her sister, Thembisa Mdoda.
“I wasn’t even defending Thembisa but my whole family,” she told True Love about her tweets bashing the actor.
Just like with Bonang, Anele said she would have no problem interviewing her sister’s ex.
“I’d interview him on my show though, because he is very talented,” she told the magazine.
