EVERY NIGHT HAS BEEN TORTURE
ACTOR Macks Papo (52), who plays the role of Marothi Maphuthuma on Skeem Saam, is apparently living in fear because his former girlfriend is stalking him. Reports say that the actor is getting endless phone calls from the stalker.
Macks told a daily newspaper, “She calls at night and in the early hours of the morning using different numbers. She also sent my partner a friendship request on Facebook, but she blocked her.”
At times, the caller asks him who he is sleeping with before hanging up. On other nights, she breathes heavily and doesn’t say a word. It is alleged that the person who keeps calling him is his bitter ex.
“Every night has been torture since she started terrorising me and my partner with calls in the middle of the night,” Macks explains.
It is alleged that Macks broke up with the woman in 2016 after a three-year relationship. The woman asked him to remain friends and he agreed but that proved to be a big mistake.
ACCUSED OF DATING TEENAGERS
Macks portrays the role of a sugar daddy on Skeem Saam and it is alleged that his stalker accuses him of dating teenagers.
“She tells anyone who cares to listen that I’m sleeping with a 17-year-old girl. My daughter is 17! What kind of a dad would I be if I had a relationship with her peer?” the actor asks.
The woman is accusing him of targeting young varsity girls. “I leave my work at work and as a father, I don't approve of blessers and sugar daddies,” says Macks. It is alleged that Macks’ mother is also getting calls from the bitter ex-girlfriend.
FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS
It is alleged that during their on-off relationship, the actor’s ex asked him to take her back as a “friend with benefits”.
“The friendship with special benefits was a mere ploy to trap me with her baggage from her past abusive relationship. Like any other relationship, it was beautiful in the beginning until questions about the future popped up. She was caring for me, but started to constantly ask me whether or not I was committed enough to her to have any solid future plans, specifically marriage. She constantly put me under pressure to marry her while I was already under financial depression. She was just an opportunist and a pathological liar,” says the actor.
Move! contacted Macks several times without success.
