SHE is in love with her new boyfriend of six months and everything is going well in the relationship.
But Skolopad was shocked when her boyfriend took things to the next level and popped the question on Saturday while she was on an outing with her friends in Hartbeespoort, Tshwane.
Skolopad (whose real name is Nonhlanhla Qwabe) said she was happy to find someone who loved Nonhlanhla and not the fake Skolopad.
She said she was not ready to disclose her fiance’s name, but all she could reveal was that he was a black South African and she has been flying to visit him.
Skolopad posted photos of her happiness on Facebook on Saturday.
She captioned the photos: “I said yes.”
In the photos, she can be seen with her two friends, Maria Mosibi (31) and Itumeleng Moloi (25) on a boat showing off her engagement ring.
The friends said they witnessed her man getting down on one knee to ask Skolopad the big question.
Maria said she was so happy for Skolopad.
“She has been single for a while but that has ended. Her husband-to-be is not a celebrity and I think he will continue supporting my friend as he has been doing. I’m so happy and wish I could be proposed to one day. I will surely be the best lady on her big day,” said Maria.
Itumeleng said: “It was about 3pm when her man took the relationship to the next level. It was like heaven on earth and I’m happy for them.”
Skolopad said: “He asked me to have an outing with my friends and now I see it was for a big surprise. All we need is love and I have found it. I’m taken because I said yes! The wedding is going to be next year and my family is very happy. I’ll use a double-barrelled surname after the wedding. I’ll totally be a different person from next year and will be singing Afro-soul.”
