Everybody in Mzansi is trying to decipher two of Somizi Mhlongo’s recent social media posts; both of which contain some rather mysterious messaging in light of recent events.
A month ago, nobody would have thought that quotes of this nature would be carrying any kind of subliminal meaning but a lot can happen in 31 days.
In June, Somizi and his fiancé, Mohale’s, engagement was rocked by cheating rumours which emerged in the Sunday Sun – more on that in a moment.
With the above in mind, many are speculating that Somizi’s posts – which were shared on Instagram Stories on Wednesday – were referencing the reported cheating saga.
Somizi shared images that read: “If you truly love someone, being faithful is easy”.
“Kill the part of you that believes you can’t survive alone.”
As The Juice points out, the first quote was positioned alongside an image of two doves flying with the Eiffel Tower in the background – a potentially poignant statement, considering that Somizi proposed in Paris.
But how did two of Mzansi’s cutest lovebirds find themselves in a position where their future no longer looks as certain as it did when Mohale said “Yes”?
You’ll have to travel back three weeks in the past, when a report in the Sunday Sun claimed that Mohale had been spotted cosying up with another young man at his (Mohale’s) birthday party.

The paper alleged that Mohale was cheating on Somizi with a young man by the name of Vuyo Pan, who is a university student from Johannesburg
Apparently, as soon as he found out about the affair, Somizi issued a strong “stay away” to Vuyo in the form of numerous threatening messages.
Somizi’s fiancé Mohale is allegedly, cheating on him with a young man named Vuyo. So, Vuyo has been receiving threatening text messages sent by Somizi, allegedly.

At the time, the couple seemed to dismiss the reports but Somizi’s choice of social media posts has us second guessing ourselves.
Could there really be trouble in paradise for Somhale?
The saga started with a private message on social media, says Vuyo Pan, the young man accused of having an affair with Mohale (24).
“Mohale approached me on Instagram to work for him making phone calls to 100 schools in South Africa asking to present matric dance packages to the students,” Vuyo tells DRUM.
Mohale’s company, Glam Troupe, outsources young talent to present matric dance packages to schools around the country that cost between R5 500 and R18 000. Packages include providing outfits and shoes, and doing hair, make-up and nails.
Perhaps Mohale contacted him because “maybe he saw how good I looked for my matric dance and saw I had potential”, Vuyo says. “I don’t know.”
According to sources, Mohale Motaung (24) got upclose and personal with a young hunk named Vuyo Pan (19) at his 24th birthday dinner at the Palazzo Hotel in Montecasino in Fourways, Jozi, a fortnight ago.
Somizi allegedly wasn’t there to keep an eye on his man because of an alleged fight they had the night before. But SomGaga’s friends were more than happy to give the flamboyant 45-year-old star a blow-by-blow recount of events.
“He wasn’t there. But when Somizi’s friends noticed that Mohale was sitting next to Vuyo and were very cosy, they started calling Somizi, informing him that there was someone busy with his fiance. They even asked him to come over, but he refused,” said one source.
According to the rumour mill, Mohale has been seeing Vuyo behind SomGaga’s back for the past three months, but hearing of them getting all cosy at Mohale’s birthday pushed Somizi off the edge – he sent Vuyo a warning via text.
The message reads, in part: "If ever I find you at any point seen with my fiance, I will find you and f**k you up. I know where you study and stay. And I pray I never bump into you while I’m still fuming. You even had the nerve to come to the dinner, ass."
