And who better to be hit by Cupid’s arrow than the bubbly Nomsa Buthelezi.
The Our Perfect Wedding host helps couples all over Mzansi take their relationship to the next level by walking them down the aisle.
Now, she has found her own forever-after in Zandile Shezi. An ecstatic Nomsa told Sunday Sun she met Zandile in Mpumalanga in March this year and they immediately had a connection.
The presenter suffered a huge loss three years ago when her boyfriend, Unathi Ndondzwana, died. She believed she would never love again, but was blessed with Sihle. But they have since parted ways, making the timing of this new love perfect.
Said Nomsa: “I thank God for giving me a chance to love again.”
She said they’ve already met each other’s families and received their blessing.
“Our families are more excited about our relationship than we are,” she said.
Nomsa says she is planning to marry Zandile because she loves her so much. This vivacious media personality is no stranger to tragedy. Last year, she was nearly raped by a group of six men while she was protecting her partner.
“They told me my vagina belongs to men, not women. They wanted to rape me because of my sexuality. I’ve nothing to hide and am not ashamed of who I am. My parents have given me their blessing, they know about me, so I don’t care what anyone thinks of the way I live my life,” she said.
Asserted Nomsa: “It’s my choice to date whoever I want. It’s my body. It saddens me that there are still homophobic people in Mzansi. It shows we still have a long way to go.”
Zandile said: “So far, things are going well. We’re very happy and in love. She means a lot to me and is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. She doesn’t hide anything and tells it like it is. I’m happy to have met her at the right time and space. My wish is to spend the rest of my life with her because I don’t see myself loving any other woman besides her.”
Sihle could not be reached for comment.
