Actress Enhle Mbali is seemingly doing better after being held up by three gun-wielding criminals during an attempted hijacking last Wednesday.
Enhle was reportedly left shaken after she was attacked in Hyde Park, Johannesburg by three men, while driving the Porsche her husband, DJ Black Coffee recently bought her.
The men pulled her out of the car and got away with her jewellery.
According to Zalebs, Enhle took to Instagram Stories to confirm the incident and to thank fans for the overwhelming support.
“A lot of people have been concerned. And thank you so much, all of you. Thank you so much for the kind messages, thank you so much for your support. Thank you so much for showing that you’re involved and generally care apart from following my career,” she said.
Enhle also thanked her colleagues from the acting world for the concern, saying it meant a lot that so many people cared about her.
The actress added that the country’s crime rate was concerning and urged followers to call on President Cyril Ramaphosa to take action.
“And I would like for all of us to take the first step and speak to the president to somehow change the constitution,” she said.
Enhle added that after the traumatic experience she believed police officers were also scared of criminals.
“The police are in fear themselves as right now they have very little power to handle all these criminals.”
