Here is a look at the biggest transfer news and rumours from the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and beyond.
RONALDO MAKES 'IRREVERSIBLE DECISION' TO LEAVE REAL MADRID
Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo has made an "irreversible decision" to quit the club, according to Record. Promises are said to have been broken by Los Blancos towards the Ballon d'Or winner, who helped the club win a third successive Champions League trophy last month. Paris Saint-Germain are a possible destination for the attacker, who could also go to England or Italy.
LENGLET CLOSING IN ON €35M BARCA MOVE
Sevilla centre-back Clement Lenglet is closing in on a €35 million (£31m/$41m) move to Barcelona, Goal understands. The 22-year-old has moved closer to the Camp Nou after contract talks with Sevilla broke off. The Andalucian club have seemingly conceded that Lenglet will depart, with Florian Lejeune of Newcastle and Gianmarco Ferrari of Sampdoria already being eyed as replacements.
LIVERPOOL EYE LEVERKUSEN'S LENO
Liverpool have joined the list of parties interested in Bayer Leverkusen's Bernd Leno, Bild reports. With Bayer having brought in Lukas Hradecky from Frankfurt, Leno will no longer be the club's number one choice between the sticks, meaning Leno's contract until 2020 shouldn't be a huge issue to navigate. The report suggests a bid of €25 million (£22m/$30m) could be enough to seal the deal.
THE CONDITIONS OF THIAGO'S BARCA RETURN…
Bayern Munich's Thiago Alcantara could return to Barcelona for a fee of €50 million (£44m/$59m) if the Catalan side include Lucas Digne in the deal, Sport reports. With Andres Iniesta having left the club, the Blaugrana are looking to add more technical quality to their midfield and Thiago could be the answer. Bayern, meanwhile, are looking for a backup for David Alaba and see Digne as a better option than Juan Bernat, who looks likely to be sold in the summer. Should Barca opt to hold on to Digne, however, Thiago's price will rise to €70m.
DORTMUND SIGN DELANEY
Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of midfielder Thomas Delaney from Werder Bremen. The 26-year-old midfielder joins for a fee reported to be in the region of €20 million (£17.6m/$24m). Delaney spent 18 months with Bremen after joining the Bundesliga side from FC Copenhagen in his native Denmark.
CHELSEA READY TO SELL DRINKWATER
Chelsea are ready to cut their losses and sell Danny Drinkwater, the Mirror reports. The midfielder lifted the Premier League title alongside N'Golo Kante at Leicester but has struggled for game time since swapping the King Power for Stamford Bridge. The report suggests the Blues will look to reinvest the money from the sale of Drinkwater, which they hope will be around £30 million ($40m) on Nice's Jean Michel Seri.
LIVERPOOL CONSIDER MCCARTHY MOVE
Liverpool are considering a move for Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, according to the Mirror. The Reds have long been credited with an interest in Roma and Brazil No.1 Alisson as well as Atletico Madrid custodian Jan Oblak, but no progression has been made with either club. As such, the Anfield side could try to bring in another Saint after Virgil van Dijk, with 28-year-old McCarthy having played only 18 league matches in two seasons at St. Mary's.
FEKIR MAKES LIVERPOOL DECISION
Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir has said that he is set on a move to Liverpool this summer, the Mirror reports. A breakthrough in the deal is said to have been made, with OL softening their position on the France international. Liverpool hope they will not have to pay more than £50 million ($67m) for the 24-year-old.
ARSENAL'S GELSON BID REJECTED
Sporting CP have knocked back Arsenal's approach for Gelson Martins, A Bola reports. The Gunners reportedly put €30 million (£26m/$35m) on the table for the young attacker. While he has a release clause of €60m (£53m/$71m) in his deal, Sporting will not allow him to leave for anything less than €45m (£40m/$53m) this summer. The 23-year-old, however, is unhappy the bid was rejected.
BARCELONA ENTER LEMAR RACE
Barcelona have joined the chase for Monaco star Thomas Lemar, according to Sport. The Catalans have asked Monaco how much it would take to pry away the 22-year-old France international, who is also wanted by Chelsea and Atletico Madrid. The Ligue 1 side value the left-sided player at between €70 and €90 million (£61m-£79m/$82m-$106m).
MESSI HOPES GRIEZMANN WILL JOIN BARCA
Lionel Messi hopes Antoine Griezmann will join Barcelona this summer, calling him a "great player" and adding he would "click" with the France international. The Atletico Madrid striker has been a rumoured target of the La Liga champions, with defender Samuel Umtiti recently declaring it would be "fantastic" if his France team-mate joined Barcelona. And now Messi has added his voice to the chorus, saying that while it is Ernesto Valverde's decision, "the more quality" the club has "the better."
MAN CITY MAKE €60M DE LIGT BID
Manchester City have lodged a bid of €60 million (£53m/$71m) for Ajax centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, reports Tuttomercatoweb. Pep Guardiola is keen on the 18-year-old, whom he views as a long-term option to replace Vincent Kompany. Tottenham have already seen a bid of €55 million (£48m/$65m) rejected by the Dutch side.
MADRID TO MOVE FOR CONTE
Outgoing Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has emerged as a managerial option for Real Madrid, claims the Daily Mail. The Blancos were surprised by Zinedine Zidane's departure last week, and are scrambling to find a replacement ahead of the 2018-19 campaign. With targets like Mauricio Pochettino, Jurgen Klopp and Massimiliano Allegri unlikely to leave their clubs, Conte, who is set to depart Chelsea, is likely to be among the few proven options available.
TALISCA TO DECIDE BETWEEN MAN UTD AND CHINA
Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca will decide between offers from two Chinese clubs and Manchester United, reports O Jogo. The 24-year-old Brazilian scored 20 goals last season on loan at Besiktas, which has resulted in United lodging a bid of €40 million (£35m/$47m). Talisca will also have the option of two unnamed clubs from China, who will likely offer him a larger payday than United.
WEST HAM LOOK TO HIJACK CHELSEA'S SERI MOVE
West Ham will make a last-ditch effort to steal Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri away from Chelsea, reports The Sun. The Ivory Coast midfielder is reportedly in advanced talks with the Blues, with Napoli and Borussia Dortmund also in the mix. Seri, who has a release clause of £35 million (€40m/$47m), is said to prefer a move to the Premier League.
CITY WON'T MEET £60M JORGINHO PRICE
Manchester City are prepared to move on to other midfield targets due to Napoli's £60 million (€68m/$80m), valuation of Jorginho, reports ESPN FC. City have already had a bid rejected for the 26-year-old Italy international, who is seen as an ideal replacement for Yaya Toure. But Pep Guardiola is ready to consider other central midfield targets, with Real Madrid's Mateo Kovacic and Southampton's Mario Lemina possible alternatives.
VIEIRA TO DECIDE FATE THURSDAY
New York City FC manager Patrick Vieira will decide whether he will take over at Nice on Thursday, reports L'Equipe. The former Arsenal midfielder was also a candidate for the Gunners job, which eventually went to Unai Emery last month. L'Equipe also speculates that Vieira, who has an offer from Nice to take over for Lucien Favre, could also have offers on the table from other European clubs.
SALAH AGENT DENIES BARCA REPORT
Mohamed Salah's agent has denied a report by AS stating the Egypt star had been offered to Barcelona. The report stated the Liverpool attacker's representatives had offered him to the La Liga champions as an alternative to Antoine Griezmann. While the newspaper claimed meetings had already occurred, Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas, took to Twitter to refute the report, claiming it never happened.
INTER TO OFFER JOAO MARIO FOR DEMBELE
Inter wants to land Tottenham's Mousa Dembele and hope a part exchange of Joao Mario will be enough to tempt Spurs into a deal, reports Corriere Dello Sport. Dembele has decided it is time to depart the physical Premier League, and has the interest of a pair of Chinese clubs as well. Spurs want €30 million (£26m/$35m) while that is too rich for the Serie A club, but Inter hopes Mario, who fared well with West Ham on loan, could bring the price down.
EVERTON IN BATTLE FOR MAN CITY DEFENDER
Everton will have competition if they hope to secure the signature of Manchester City defender Angelino, according to the Sun. New Toffees sporting director Marcel Brands is a huge fan of the left-back, having previously tried to buy him while at PSV, and may face off against his old club for his signature.
NAPOLI CHASING REAL MADRID DEFENDER
Napoli is hoping to strengthen their back line next season and are looking to bring in Real Madrid defender Achraf Hakimi, according to Sky Sports. The right-back's contract expires in June 2019 and is considered the natural replacement for Elseid Hysaj. Real Madrid may not let Hakimi go easily however, and Red Bull Salzburg's Stefan Lainer, who also has interest from Lazio, is another option. Angelino has 12 months left on his deal, and City are willing to sell the defender now, while Everton look for a long-term replacement for Leighton Baines.
