He is as free as a bird when it comes to exercising his freedom of speech right, he is one person who believes in standing for his own word even when it means standing alone, that is Sizwe Dhlomo for you.
Newzroom Afrika presenter is not afraid to take on even those wealthy guys, doing it head on, with no fear or favour. He recently came out guns blazing blaming the rich people for bringing the coronavirus to our shores.
According to him, the virus was imported into South Africa by those rich people who can afford to travel overseas. Sizwe took to Twitter to air out his frustrations with the wealthy folk who travelled overseas and brought the coronavirus back to Mzansi.
He explained his mind as to what he thinks was the main issue that brought the virus home: "The sad thing about it is, in SA, it was the rich people who brought this virus to those who are now going to suffer the ramifications the most."
His comments came after the revelation that most of those who initially tested positive of the virus were the ones who would have travelled. Even in neighbouring Zambia and Zimbabwe, the cases recorded in those countries involved people who had travelled abroad.
Meanwhile, the coronavirus pandemic has taken a toll on South Africa, the country is currently under a three week total shut-down. President Cyril Ramaphosa has spelt out the country's road map and response to the coronavirus pandemic.
In his address to the nation, Ramaphosa expressed gratitude to the citizens, especially those on the frontline, for their efforts since the declaration of a national disaster. He thanked citizens for understanding the gravity of the problem following recommendations and for remaining calm.
He said, "Many have had to make difficult choices and sacrifices, but all have been determined that these choices and sacrifices are absolutely necessary if our country is to emerge stronger from this disaster."
