Going places, actor and film producer Kagiso Modupe, alongside the actors for his 'Losing Lerato' film, are heading for the USA after their film production was picked and nominated for six categories for the forthcoming festival.
Their film was selected to compete in six sections at the Idyllwild International Film Festival of Cinema that is set to take place in California from the 9th to the 15th of March 2020.
Setting off, on Sunday Kagiso shared a video of himself, alongside his fellow cast members, among them, his daughter Tshimollo, actress Samela Tyelbooi, actor Thato Molamu and other people at the airport.
He captioned the social media post: "And weâ€™re off, thank you for your love and support Mzansi."
They also announced their arrival in the US on Monday by sharing another photograph of themselves in Washington District of Columbia, wearing masks as a precautionary measure to safeguard themselves from the deadly coronavirus.
Last month, Kagiso announced the good news of the nominations through the official Instagram account for the film production Losing Lerato.
The nominations are broken down as follows, Kagiso was nominated for best actor, Thato for best supporting actor, Samela for best actress, Tshimollo for best supporting actress, Sanele Zulu for best director and Gavin Sterley for best cinematography.
Meanwhile, the nominations has left the Mzansi entertainment sector with the ear to the ground, as the nation awaits the news from the foreign lands come the 9th to the 15th of March 2020.
