Turning 30 is an important moment in a woman’s life and many feel anxious about the next stage of their life… but one woman who is ready to embrace her 30s is Bonang Matheba.
South Africa’s media darling turned the big three-oh last year and is less than a month away from her next birthday.
So, what has turning 30 taught one of SA’s most successful woman?
Queen B was asked the question during a recent interview.
“My aunt said, ‘Now that you’re thirty and as you turned thirty you’re going to feel different. If people don’t fit in, they can f**k off’,” OK Mzansi quoted her as saying.
Bonang added that the past several months has taught her a lot.
“If they don’t fit in they can just… anything basically, you know? Friends, family, clothes, shoes, coats… if things don’ fit in just find something else,” she added.
It seems the TV personality has been taking her aunt’s advice seriously. Shortly after her break-up with AKA, she tweeted: “…daaaaaarling, fit in or f**k off.”
She added in another post: “I have things to do… I’m 30. I ain’t taking NO sh*t no more… welcome to it.”
Bonang is serious about focusing only on positive things in her life
“I’m 30, I’m beautiful, I’m sexy and I work very hard – I’ve been working hard for 15 years now, so I feel like I can conquer the world,” she told SCHICK magazine in March.
There you have it ladies! The secret of living your best life in your thirties is not caring about what anyone has to say about your relationship status, your career, the way you look or whether you plan on having babies!
