Psyfo blasted for wasting Hulisani's time – You dated her for 10+ years then you marry someone else

Sipho ‘Psyfo’ Ngwenya (who also goes by the name ‘Sidwell’) is receiving major flak for proposing to the love of his life, Aamirah Mirah

Why? Because fans of his ex-girlfriend, Hulisani Ravele, feel like he wasted those precious years of her life.

Pysfo and Hulisani dated for over 10 years before calling it quits.

They first broke up in 2014 but later rekindled their romance.

Hulisani and Psyfo broke up again in early 2017 – this time for good.

She admitted in a 2018 interview that her family had a hard time letting the relationship go.

“…I didn’t speak to some family members for several months because they couldn’t accept our decision to end our relationship. I heard: ‘Just give him a chance’ more times than I could bear,” she told Destiny magazine.

Psyfo moved on and made his relationship with Aamirah Instagram official, also in 2017, and some of his followers accused him of moving on from Hulisani too fast.

“Please don’t be rude my sister. Let me live. You focus on your life and I will do mine,” he hit back.
Psyfo asked Aamirah to be his wife during a trip to Zanzibar over the weekend

Aamirah arranged the trip to celebrate his birthday but he ended up giving her the best gift – an engagement ring.

“She said yes,” he captioned a picture with his new fiancée.

Several stars, including Connie Ferguson, congratulated him on the exciting news.

“Yes yes yes! I’m saying yes on her behalf as well! Congratulations nana! Love, respect and nurture each other! Pray for each other and never stop being besties! So happy for you guys! Congratulations are in order!” Connie wrote.
While the messages of congratulations were flowing, some Twitter users dragged Hulisani’s name into the mix

“This right here is the reason why I said and still say I’ll never date anyone for more than 2-3 years… So he’s legit telling us that he knew from the get go that he’d never marry Hulisani but still wasted 10+ years of her life?” one Twitter user wrote.

Another user agreed but noted that everything happens for a reason.

“Nothing new under the sun. It happens. Date for 16 years no marriage, next person they date for 8 months and marry. Timing might have been off. Hulisani was part of his journey. Love & light to her. Congrats to Psyfo and fiancé …”

Many tweeps came to Pysfos’ defence, telling Hulisani’s fans to move on

“It’s weird how you guys made Psyfo’s engagement about Hulisani. Things happen exactly how they should, and relationships come and go into your life for different reasons.”
