Tbo Touch is a true inspiration to many entrepreneurs for how he has gone from presenter to boss over the past decade. With some help from his long-standing industry connections, he has been able to build Touch HD.
The Touch HD team recently expanded from audio to visual. The once podcast only network now has its own prime time television slot in partnership with Soweto TV on DSTV. Their show is a hit with fans having had guests like Lady Zamar and Kelly Khumalo.
But that isn't enough for Tbo Touch. The man is on a mission. The businessman recently announced the launch of his own television streaming service. He has already dubbed his streaming service the ‘Netflix of South Africa’, so it must include a whole array of original content exclusive to the platform.
“Hours and hours of great local content, It will work similar to Netflix and have all our current content and eight new shows on video,” he said.
Tbo said the brand new streaming service is called THD24 and will launch later this month on July 28th. Unlike Netflix, though, the new streaming service will be free and without subscription fees through the website, THD24.com. -Zalebs
