A statement by Emtee’s former landlord has revealed the real reasons why the rapper lost his house. It seems like things are turning from bad to worse for the Mzansi rapper. At first, Emtee’s landlord spoke out about Emtee’s abrupt departure from the house. Then there was news that Emtee’s record label, Ambitiouz Entertainment, had repossessed the rapper’s house. But the latest statement issued to Sunday World claims that Ambitiouz Entertainment did not repossess his Midrand house, instead Emtee was behind on the rent. According to Sunday World, they have seen a statement listing the reasons why Emtee had lost his house, as per his former landlord.
Emtee and his family decided to leave the rented house on 22 April without informing the record label or the landlord. This was after the landlord raised several concerns to Emtee about the state of the house and the damage caused during his stay, including a room that was badly burn
The landlord further highlighted the water and refuse bill which was not paid for over a year, resulting in a bill of more than R93 034. Instead of informing the label or taking responsibility, he opted to leave with his family without giving any legal notice. As a result, the label had to continue paying rent on an unoccupied house,” read the statement.
The label explained that Emtee never made any mention of wanting to leave the stable to them. “We would also like to state that Emtee has never brought it to our attention that he is unhappy and wanted clearance.
Ambitiouz Entertainment had released a statement to the media explaining how Emtee got into heavy debt with the record label. It is alleged that Emtee crashed his two luxury Mercedes earlier this year and refused to report either incident. The estimated damage costs were about R950k. The record label came to Emtee’s aid, but the rapper incurred a huge debt to repay.
