Media mogul and executive producer of OPW Basetsana Kumalo has urged fans to continue praying for Kayise Ngqula as she grapples to come to terms with her husband’s death, while recovering in hospital
Kayise and her late husband Farai Sibanda was involved in a car crash in Sandton, Johannesburg two weeks ago.
After spending a week in ICU, Farai succumbed to his injuries last Saturday. Kayise is said to be in a stable condition and is naturally devastated by her husband’s death.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Bassie shared a heartfelt post about the tragedy
“It is with profound sadness that we lost Farai Sibanda from a car accident on Saturday that claimed his life after fighting for a week in hospital. I have had the absolute pleasure to work with this gentle soul (Kayise) on Our Perfect Wedding. She is still in hospital.”
Bassie added that Kayise’s mom is grateful for the overwhelming support.
“I’ve spoken to her mother and she thanks you for your prayers, your messages and phone calls of support. Please continue to lift the entire family and their son in prayer. Lala kakuhle Farai. Phumla.”
“She is stable. She is recovering from some fractures on her body. One can say she’s out of danger now. She is devastated as you can imagine. They have an eight-month-old baby. Even their union is fairly new. She’s really struggling,” Kayise’s mom told SowetanLIVE earlier this week.
Kayise and Farai tied the knot in August last year and welcomed their baby boy a few months later.
