The spat between DJ Sbu and Zahara has turned into a mudslinging match, after fans called out the former record label owner on allegations that TS Records owes the Loliwe hitmaker money
The feud between Zahara and TS Records, which was co-owned by DJ Sbu and TK Nciza first came to light last month when the singer accused the company of underpaying her for royalties, performances and record sales.
Zahara revealed that she would be taking legal action against the company, while TS Records issued a cease-and-desist letter to Zahara, preventing her from making “defamatory comments” against it.
The dust seemed to settle until a motivational tweet from DJ Sbu backfired and fans decided to call him out on when TS Records would “pay back” Zahara’s money.
TshisaLIVE is reporting that DJ Sbu hit back at the claims through a statement, in which he claimed that Zahara had been paid all money owed to her and that they had supported her through her alcohol addiction
“We have always been there for her during her trying times. When no one believed in her talent, we did – and we invested millions of rands into her career.
Taking to Instagram, Zahara released two videos in response to DJ Sbu’s claims
“Please just give me my money back, if I want to scrub the floor with my money, I’ll scrub the floor. It’s my money, please just give me my money back,” Zahara said.
She also went on to clear the air on claims that she owed TS Records one more album.
