Hackers are having a field day with local celebrity social media accounts these days but one star they cannot fool is Lerato Kganyago.
The TV presenter has revealed how she turned the tables on a hacker who tried to steal one of her social media accounts.
“LOL I hacked him back and started stalking him and his family! He got the wrong one!” she tweeted.
Lerato made the revelation during a Twitter debate about whether Scoop Makhathini’s Twitter account was really hacked on Monday.
The radio personality claimed a hacker was behind a series of tweets claiming his girlfriend had cheated on him.
One Twitter user noted that Scoop managed to regain control of his “hacked” account within minutes, while most celebrities take days or weeks to get their’s back.
Some have not been able to recover their accounts at all.

Several stars have fallen victim to hackers, including dancer Takkies, Sbahle Mpisane, Redi Tlhab, Bonang Matheba, Dineo Ranaka and Babes Wodumo.
Phindile Gwala and Mshoza had to start new accounts, while Cassper Nyovest bought his account back from his hacker!
Thuli Thabethe gave her Instagram account to her hacker on a silver platter. She revealed in February that she had clicked on an email link warning her about a copyright infringement.
“Within seconds I received a New login to Instagram from Chrome Mobile on LG-M250 based in Cape Town at 10:33 (PDT) email notification. Without question I clicked on the link and basically handed over my account once I confirmed,” she told her fans.
Perhaps Lerato could hold a master class for her celebrity pals on how to outsmart a hacker.
